Fleetware Reflects on a Strong First Quarter
Three months can pass quickly in a fast-moving technology business. At Fleetware, the milestone provided an opportunity to pause and reflect on the progress made since General Manager Matt Cusworth joined the team.
In a recent conversation with Business Development Manager Brendan Fowler, Matt shared his early impressions of the business, the work underway behind the scenes, and the opportunities ahead for the growing fleet technology provider.
First Impressions: A Strong Culture and Customer Focus
Reflecting on his first few months with Fleetware, Matt described the experience as both rewarding and insightful.
One of the first things that stood out to him was the strength of the team and the culture within the organisation. From the outset, Matt noticed how clearly Fleetware’s values are reflected in the way employees collaborate, innovate, and support customers.
“The quality of the people in this organisation is impressive,” Matt said. “They work incredibly hard and are always looking for ways to create new solutions and deliver value for customers.”
This strong sense of teamwork and shared purpose has helped Matt quickly integrate into the business while gaining a deeper understanding of the industries Fleetware supports.
Strengthening Support for Employees
Alongside learning the operational and technical landscape of the business, Matt has been working with the leadership team to introduce initiatives aimed at strengthening support for employees.
One of the key developments has been the introduction of a structured reward and recognition program. The initiative is designed to celebrate strong performance while helping employees clearly understand what success looks like within the organisation.
To support this, Fleetware has introduced a performance rating framework that outlines the behaviours and standards associated with excellence across the business.
“These initiatives help people connect their day-to-day work with the behaviours that drive success at Fleetware,” Matt explained.
The business has also been exploring the introduction of an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), providing staff with access to confidential support services. The goal is to ensure employees have access to resources that support both personal wellbeing and professional performance.
Supporting Growth and New Opportunities
Beyond internal initiatives, Matt has been spending time connecting with customers and industry partners alongside the Fleetware team.
Drawing on his professional network, he has helped introduce new opportunities for the business while reinforcing Fleetware’s reputation as a trusted provider of fleet technology solutions.
“The people I know understand that Fleetware is backed by a team of experts,” Matt said. “It’s been fantastic to see that confidence translate into new business.”
A Business Experiencing Rapid Growth
The past three months have also highlighted the pace at which Fleetware continues to grow.
Demand for the company’s solutions remains strong, and the business is actively expanding its team to support this momentum. This includes welcoming a new team member relocating from Dubai in the coming months, as well as recruiting additional staff to strengthen the support team.
For Matt, the speed of innovation and the opportunities ahead has been one of the most exciting aspects of the role so far.
Looking Ahead
As Brendan Fowler noted during the conversation, Matt has already made a strong impact during his first 90 days with Fleetware.
With a clear focus on supporting employees, strengthening customer relationships, and continuing to innovate, Fleetware is well positioned for the next phase of its growth.
As the business continues to expand its capabilities and solutions, the foundations built over the past few months provide a strong platform for the future.
